Little Black Dress

Ok. Ok.  You guys should already know that I love black and I wear it just about everyday.  I’m slowly trying to sneak it into my blog without it looking boring.  When wearing black, something about your outfit or accessories should standout.  Not necessarily like a pop of color, but just something. In a previous post, I wore a simple t-shirt dress and paired it with simple leopard sneakers.  Well, I loved that dress so much, that I decided that I was going to recreate that dress but add something to it, so I added a flutted hem.
BLU5All I did to make this dress was, create a pattern using my t-shirt dress that I own. It was quite easy.  The dress took me a total of 3-4 hours to make.  It was quick and I definitely plan on making another one.  The fabric that I used was a one way knit fabric.  I didn’t want too much stretch, but I wanted it to have some stretch and some movement to it.  Also, the fabric that I chose, made the hem of the skirt move more freely and take it’s shape that I love so much.
lbdSo, here is my look all pulled together. All accessory details will be listed at the end of this post.

Be prepared to see another dress like this because this is a must have in my closet. Do you love simple wearable dresses as much as I do?
